CHARLES REINKE CLOSES IN ON THOMAS W/ 4-0

1st Charles Reinke won all 4 of his games as he picked up major ground on overtaking his brothers top place in the club stats, ending up just 1.3% points behind after his four game sweep at the club’s Church meeting on a cold near freezing night.

2nd Andy Bohnsack finished in 2nd with 3-1 +450 night. Andy had 12 bingoes along the way, including 4 in his 511-341 win vs. Richard Lauder. His finds there were ACTIONER, SWEARER, MINUTIAE and SYNERGY.

3rd Thomas Reinke finished 3rd on a 2-2 +126 outing. Andy Bohnsack and Mary Becker both earned their upset victories against Thomas, while Thomas was being held to a single bingo (VESICATE) in those opening games.

SUE GOLDSTEIN TOPS TEENSY INTERMEDIATE FIELD

1st Sue Goldstein finished in 1st 2-1 +62 total as she and the sole other Intermediate this night, June Scott enjoyed their 3 games playing “Queen-of-the-hill” matches with each other.

2nd June Scott concluded her night with a 1-2 -62 final score sheet as she won her first game with Sue 359-312 in their head-to-head games.

10 scrabble players, our lowest club turnout in years, met at Covenant Church on a wet and cold night this week... Charles Reinke was awarded the $3 prize for the highest “B” play (in BANKIT), June Scott had the lowest AN play, whilst the high KI was given out to Richard Lauder, and the final low T count was unknown at the point Richard left..
