ANDY BOHNSACK ‘S 4-0 BESTS EXPERTS


1st Andy Bohnsack escaped with a narrow 6 point start (419-413) against Club leading Thomas Reinke, then he won by 16 (438-422) against Thomas’s brother Charles before finishing his night with a huge 520-437 game vs. Richard Lauder. Andy’s triple-triple of POLKAING for 167 points was the decider in that last matchup.

2nd Richard Lauder finished in 2nd with a 4-1 +484. Richard played his high game of the year, a 546-280 game with Helen Flores as part of a 2 vs. 1 first game. Richard was “bingo king” this week with 12.

3rd Shayla Dunn finished 3rd with a 3-1 +209 cume. Shayla handily stopped Thomas Reinke 478-359 in her highest scoring game of the night, a rare loss for Thomas.


HELEN FLORES TOPS INTERMEDIATES


1st Helen Flores finished in 1st with 3-1 +31 record, despite starting -266 points after her opening 280-546 loss. She closed out her night with a solid 397-304 win vs. Lynda Finn. Lynda is often Helen’s midweek sparring partner in their off site gaming sessions.

2nd Harwinder Dowd captured second on a 1-2 39, her first game win against June Scott in a 364-271 opener. Harwinder played the only bingo played, SELLING in buying that first victory.

3rd Sue Goldstein captured 3rd on a 1-3 -242, her closest game her opening loss by 42 points of 339-381 to Barb Besadny, despite Sue’s bingo of THINKERS.

16 scrabble players met at Attic Angels on a cold blustery night this week... Shayla Dunn was awarded the $4 prize for the highest “M” play (in MYLAR), Susan Vergeront had the lowest 6 point Y, whilst the high L was given out for Charles Reinke’s play of FLECTION, and the final low AR count was snared by Peter Schmiedicke.

Andy Bohnsack and Lynda Finn celebrated birthday’s this week and the club celebrated with a great cake their successful natal occasions.

Next week, BANKIT (n, a raised sidewalk) will provide the $4 sheeny cloths.
