RICHARD LAUDER SLIDES THROUGH EXPERTS AT 4-1 FOR TOP SPOT
1st - Richard Lauder won four of his five games to take first place in a field of 13 experts, winning his last game only when Shayla Dunn tried an incorrect hook for her otherwise good bingo play of AIRIEST. Close games turn on faulty calculations, and one can rest assured that Shayla will know forever that EAU only takes an "X" for the plural, not an "S". Richard finsihed at 4-1 +210.
2nd - Charles Reinke's 3-1 +425 captured 2nd, as Charles lost only to Shayla. Shayla "shaved" him with a 405-402 nail biter, her STOOLIE giving her enough for the win. Speaking of whisker thin results, Charles leads Andy Bohnsack with a 69.7% to Andy's 69.6% winning percatage for 3rd place in the expert's stats.
3rd - Andy Bohnsack, this weeks bingo king with 12 bonus plays, took 3rd at 3-1 +293. Andy's big game was his opening 547-316 demolition of Thomas Reinke, thanks to major scoring plays of TOUCHIER, ARIETTA, SMALTINE nad OVERLAID.
SUE GOLDSTEIN HITS THE JACKPOT OF 3-0 IN INTERMEDIATES
1st - Despite arriving after game one was almsot over, Sue promptly went to work and won all three of her remaining matches, including a one point win vs. expert Barb Besadny in their third game 309-308 slug fest.
2nd - Harwinder Dowd finished in 2nd place with a 2-1 +180 cume. Harwinder's opening game was a 353-204 "introductary" game with club newbie Gretchen Hensen. Gretchen and Mark Saltzman both played at the club for the 1st time, and we hope they will return again to test their newly emerging skills with our regulars.
3rd- June Scott continued to have winning nights, this one a 2-1 +25 finish to complete her night at Barnes & Noble.
